About LYFE Women's Conference
A Legacy of Encouraging and Equipping Women Since 1983
For more than 40 years, the LYFE Women’s Conference has been a place where women gather to be encouraged, equipped, and refreshed in their faith. What began in 1983 as Ladies LYFE—an acronym for “Living Your Faith Everyday”—has grown into a Christ-centered ministry that continues to impact women’s lives through biblical teaching, worship, and meaningful community.
LYFE Women’s Conference was founded at Baptist Bible College & Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, out of a shared desire to provide a biblically grounded event created specifically for Christian women. From the very beginning, the heart behind LYFE was clear: to create space for women to engage deeply with God’s Word, experience authentic worship, and be encouraged in their everyday walk with Christ. Over the years, women from across the eastern United States traveled to gather for main sessions, breakout workshops, and worship—each thoughtfully designed to help women live out their faith with confidence and purpose. As the ministry grew, the conference became known as the LYFE Women’s Conference, reflecting both its expanding reach and its enduring mission.
New Doors and Opportunities for LYFE
In 2024, as Clarks Summit University closed its doors, God opened a new chapter for LYFE. LYFE Events, Inc. was established as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to ensure that this ministry would not only continue, but flourish. Led by Sherrie Holloway and Dena Cambra, along with a dedicated team of CSU alumnae and former LYFE team members—women who have been deeply involved in the heart and mission of LYFE for years—this transition marked both a step of faith and an opportunity for growth.
Today, LYFE is stepping into a broader vision as a year-round ministry. In addition to the annual LYFE Women’s Conference in Johnson City, New York, God has opened doors for LYFE Regional Events—bringing the heart and mission of LYFE to women in additional communities, including Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Northfield, Ohio. Through conferences, regional gatherings, and ongoing encouragement, LYFE continues to equip women to live their faith faithfully in every season of life.
